I’m Jonny, and I am a multi-award-winning author, journalist, filmmaker and photographer. I work mostly in the beer and pub industries, where I’m one of the world’s most renowned experts. I’ve won countless awards for my writing and documentaries, as well as being an in-demand public speaker \u2013 including an talk at the World Economic Forum in 2025.<\/p>\n

Career highlights in including Beer Writer of the Year in 2019 and 2022, and being the only writer to have twice won Drinks Book of the Year at the Fortnum & Mason awards. Most of my work can be found on YouTube’s Craft Beer Channel<\/a>, which I cofounded in 2013 and now has over 170,000 subscribers and 15 million views. I’ve published four books \u2013 Beer School<\/em><\/a> (Mango),\u00a0 The London Craft Beer Guide<\/em><\/a> (Ebury),\u00a0 A Year in Beer<\/a> (CAMRA), and The Meaning of Beer<\/a> (Atlantic). As one of the world’s leading experts in beer I am often on the road, but always available via email<\/a> for work enquiries or just good conversation.<\/p>\n

When not writing books or getting absued on Youtube, I do after-dinner speaking, ad hoc photography and videography jobs (you can enquire about working with me here<\/a>) as well as short-term digital marketing contracts, using my experience as former Deputy Editor of Jamieoliver.com and Head of Marketing for speciality beer importer, Cave Direct.<\/p>\n

I’m based in Hertfordshire, England, but love to travel!<\/p>\n
